Dr. Nihat Tanfer, a Dental and Maxillofacial Surgeon, who breaks ground in Turkey;
Dr. Nihat Tanfer born in 1951 in Ankara, is a unique child of Otorhinolaryngologist Operator Dr. M. Nedret Tanfer and Handan Tanfer. After graduating from Işık High School in Istanbul, and also graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1974. Tanfer went to work at Platform of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery as a doctorate student in 1975, and completed his studies as Dr. Med. Dent with an exceptional good degree in 1981. After 1981, he resigned from University because of the Law of the Council of Higher Education;

►He founded The Aesthetic Oral Surgical Center in 1981

►In 1986, Dr. Nihat TANFER performed the first implant application in Istanbul by exercising the Implantology Platform with Prof. Tramonte globally known in Milano, Italy to bring the Implantology to Turkey between 1985-1990. He is elected as an honorary member of A.I.D.I due to his overachievements in his field of work.

►Dr. Nihat Tanfer who founded the International Hospital Dentistry Polyclinic in 1989 was in the charge of dentistry department of this hospital for five years.

►In 1990; he was the first who brought the application “Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic” (CEREC) and laser use to Turkey.

►He is the first and unique doctor to perform “BOX TECHNIQUE’’ (Osteobioregeneration) in Turkey after participating in the executions of Box Technique with Dr. Andrea Menoni in Italy in 2012.

“BOX TECHNIQUE” which is performed in just only several hospitals in the world has been performed in Turkey only by The Oral and Maxilloficial Surgeon Dr. Nihat Tanfer at TANFER CLINIC.

”BOX TECHNIQUE” is a method based on recreating the jaw bone in three dimensions by placing the acid plaques on the patient’s jaw bone who has no chance of using any denture and whose jaw bone is molten for various reasons.
